The Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100 is an autosensing 10/100 Fast Ethernet Hub for creating high-performance LANs in small offices and workgroups. A single Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100 can create a LAN that connects up to eight PCs, printers, servers, and other devices at either 10-Mbps Ethernet or 100-Mbps Fast Ethernet speeds. The Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100 supports Ethernet and Fast Ethernet users simultaneously and provides a cost-effective and seamless migration path to Fast Ethernet.

• Media supported: Category 5 UTP or Category 3 UTP (10BaseT only)

Hub

• Expansion: up to two units via port 8 (MDI/MDI-X port) using straight through category 5 UTP cable

• PWR: Indicates whether power is being supplied to hub

• Ports 1 to 8: Port status including link, activity, partition, speed, and disable

• COL: Collision detection on 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps segment
