System Components

The chassis consists of the following components:

  • One 19 in. modular chassis with a high-speed backplane and three slots for a variety of feature cards
  • One of the following cards:

    • Quad T1/Primary Rate Interface (PRI) or E1/PRI card with or without serial support
    • Octal T1/PRI or E1/PRI card with serial support

  • MICA or Microcom carrier cards with modems

  • Voice-over-IP (VoIP) card

  • Two Ethernet LAN ports: 10BaseT and 10/100BaseT selectable

  • One console port for local administrative access

  • One auxiliary port for remote administrative access

  • An integral AC or DC power supply

Cards

The chassis includes three card slots in which you can install a combination of cards.

In any one slot you can install your choice of:

  • Quad T1/PRI card
  • Quad E1/PRI card

In the remaining two slots you can install your choice of:

  • MICA carrier card
  • Microcom carrier card


Note The Octal and Quad cards with serial support do not support Microcom cards.
